I'm a digital journalist, consultant, and audience specialist who has worked for USA TODAY, NBC News, MSNBC, CBS Interactive, Yahoo! News, and other media outlets. I'm also a third-generation Kānaka Maoli living on the continent. I started Nā Lei Hilo because I wanted to make it easier for people like me to find Native Hawaiian events, programs, and cultural resources in the diaspora. I also wanted to create a space for connection and community, a space to spotlight and celebrate the talent and achievements of Kānaka Maoli living off-island.
